As the worker termites share the food from the baits with the rest of the colony, they spread the active ingredient with it. Unable to malt, the termites die and eventually the entire infected colony is eliminated. Noviflumuron bait treatment is far less disruptive than other traditional ways of termite control, such as creating a barrier around a structure and termicide treatment of the surrounding soil.
